Shopee, the leading eCommerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, collaborated with Facebook for the second time to organize a Shopee University workshop aimed at supporting leading brands in strengthening their e-commerce and social media presence. The workshop involved over 200 leading brands, including international brands such as B.U.M. Equipment, IKEA, Ogawa, Wyeth and Hush Puppies, and homegrown brands including MR.DIY and Cosmoderm.
“The Official Shops on our platform are leading brands that already have a strong foothold in the traditional retail landscape, and are looking to expand their reach online. In line with the Malaysian government’s commitment to digitize the economy, Shopee is proud to play a part in driving the e-commerce sector forward by supporting these brands in building a strong online presence,” said Ian Ho, Shopee’s Regional Managing Director.
During the event, Shopee brought together industry experts from brands including PETRONAS, Digi and Photobook Worldwide to share best practices and insights to increasing online visibility and user engagement.
