HONOR named Official Smartphone Partner for Qualifiers of ESL Clash of Nations - Arena of Valor

The inaugural tournament will see six of the best teams in the region battling out to be the Best of South East Asia

Following its successful partnerships with PUBG Mobile and Fortnite Mobile during the recent launch of the HONOR Play and HONOR View20, HONOR Malaysia is back in the mobile gaming scene, this time as the official smartphone partner for the Malaysia/Singapore (MY/SG) and Philippines (PH) Qualifiers of the first ever ESL Clash of Nations - Arena of Valor.

As Malaysia’s gaming industry continues to grow rapidly in South East Asia, HONOR is excited to be part of the local mobile gaming industry, and aims to support the lifestyle of today's tech-savvy and energetic youths.

The partnership between HONOR and ESL Asia will see four MY/SG teams & four PH teams that advanced from the earlier qualifying rounds to compete at the ESL Clash of Nations MY/SG & PH Closed Qualifiers on 9 March 2019. The two finalists of the MY/SG & PH Qualifiers will compete at the Valor Cup Championship on 10 March 2019, using Malaysians’ most loved HONOR smartphones such as the HONOR View20 and HONOR 8X. The winner of the respective qualifiers (MY/SG & PH) will represent their region at the ESL Clash of Nations – Arena of Valor tournament, which will be held on 29 – 31 March 2019 in JIExpo, Jakarta.

The tournament will see six teams across five countries in the Southeast Asia region with the following breakdown: Indonesia (two teams), Thailand (one team), Vietnam (one team), Philippines (one team), and Singapore & Malaysia (one team combined). The winner of the final tournament will receive their share of the US$50,000 grand prize and the honor of being the best team in South East Asia.

The partnership between HONOR and ESL Clash of Nations marks another exciting initiative in the e-sport scene from the world’s top mobile phone e-brand. HONOR recently made waves in the nation by selling out more than 1,000 of its flagship device, the HONOR View20, at its biggest roadshow to date early this year, before announcing that the device equipped with powerful Kirin 980 chipset and GPU Turbo 2.0 technology will be one of the first smartphones in the world to support Fortnite Mobile on 60Hz FPS.
